A man and a woman from Winston-Salem have been arrested in connection with the death of a 4-year-old boy…after deputies were called to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center at the request of medical staff regarding life-threatening injuries to the 4-year-old boy. James Morrison Jr. faces one count of murder. DebraLee Matthews faces one count of accessory to murder after the fact. The Forsyth County sheriff's office is investigating the death.

Despite the chilly temperatures, a record number of walkers (over 6,000 walkers) participated in the Greater Greensboro CROP Hunger Walk yesterday. Close to $200,000 dollars was raised to help fight hunger. 25% of the funds raised through the CROP Hunger Walk will come back to Greensboro Urban Ministry Potter’s House Community Kitchen…who feeds over 450 individuals every day. Millions suspected it. And on Sunday, authorities confirmed it. Police in Colorado say that they’ve determined that last week’s so-called “Balloon Boy” incident was a hoax. The parents are facing charges. In a news conference on Sunday, investigators described the event as a "publicity stunt" put on by the Heene family in hopes of getting a reality TV show.

Another powerful typhoon setting its sights on the Philippines. Typhoon Lupit is expected to hit land on Thursday. The death toll in the Philippines has now risen to 858 from the two other devastating storms that hit the country last month.

TWO INTERNATIONAL AID WORKERS HAVE BEEN FREED…AFTER MORE THAN THREE MONTHS OF CAPTIVITY IN THE DARFUR REGION OF SUDAN. The women were handed over to the International Red Cross and a Sudanese official says they appear to be in very good health. Meanwhile, two civilian workers remain in captivity.
